Gear and training for the team
Killington Search & Rescue is an all-volunteer team that finds people who are lost or hurt in the backcountry, stabilizes them, and carries them out to a higher level of care. Gear is expensive and so is training. The foundation exists to reduce the amount of personal gear members use and the cost to local taxpayers.
The KSAR Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity, separate from the Town of Killington. Beyond basic administrative costs, all money we raise goes toward the purchase of gear and training for the KSAR team.
